School Social Worker at Care Options for Kids summary:

A School Social Worker supports the well-being and success of students by providing crisis intervention, counseling, and mentoring services within the school environment. They collaborate with families, teachers, and external agencies to develop strategies that address student needs and promote coping skills. The role requires a Master's degree in Social Work, licensure, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.

School Social Worker- School Based

• $40-$45/hour

Position Summary: The position of the School Social Worker include promoting the general well-being of students, collaborating with outside agencies to support families, mentoring and advising teachers and school personnel, developing crisis intervention strategies to enhance student success, and helping students build coping skills to navigate challenging situations.

Education/License/Certification:

• A MSW Degree (Masters of Social Work) or higher from an accredited university.
• Current Active State License to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Experience/Requirements:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
• Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
• Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
• Responsive to requests.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.
