Successful, profitable manufacturing site in the Belton, Missouri area is seeking an EHS Manager to focus on further development and improvement of the safety program and driving a safety oriented culture plantwide. As the EHS Manager, you will excel in coaching and mentoring your direct report and will oversee the site EHS program. You will report to the Plant Manager and will have the following responsibilities:
The company is seeking a candidate who enjoys spending up to 30-40% of their day on the manufacturing floor, leading a safety oriented culture. Candidates should be able to hold others accountable and challenge their peers, be hands-on, lead by example, coach and mentor their staff and infuse energy and excitement into the safety programs of the plant. It will be hard to beat the benefits package...up to 15% bonus potential (that has a history of paying out at 100%+), stock purchase plan, exceptional 401K match, profit sharing of 5%, vacation, 13 paid holidays (5 floating), HSA contribution and three tier medical, dental and vision day one of employment!
REQUIREMENTS for the EHS Manager:
1. Bachelor's degree, ideally in an EHS related field
2. At least two years of similar EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment
3. Strong safety background, with experience overseeing environmental functions as well
4. Experience being the point of contact for regulatory agencies (EPA, OSHA, etc.)
5. Experience performing safety audits
6. Experience overseeing the BWC process
7. Experience leading safety programs at sites of at least 100 people
8. Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Formal Lean and/or Six Sigma training or certifications
2. CSP or GSP certification
3. Experience with LMS (learning management systems)
4. Behavioral Based Safety Program
