A before and after care position typically involves supervising and engaging with children during the hours before and after the regular school day, often in a school or community-based setting. This role can include leading recreational activities, assisting with homework, and ensuring a safe and fun environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision:
• Monitoring children's activities to ensure safety and a positive atmosphere.
• Activity Planning & Implementation:
• Organizing and leading educational and recreational activities like arts and crafts, sports, or games.
• Behavior Management:
• Implementing strategies to address student behavior and maintain order.
• Communication:
• Interacting with parents, addressing concerns, and providing updates on their child's day.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Completing daily reports, maintaining attendance records, and assisting with program logistics. 

Essential Skills:

• Experience with Children: Previous experience working with school-aged children in a group setting is often required.
• Activity Planning & Implementation: The ability to create and lead engaging activities for children of various ages.
• Behavior Management: Strong skills in managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive interactions.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults.
• Organization & Time Management: Effectively managing time, materials, and tasks related to the program.
