Job Description

LHH is partnering with a nonprofit organization in Washington, DC, to find a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join their team. We are looking for a proactive individual to provide crucial support across various administrative tasks, such as data entry, communication, customer service, and general office duties. This is a 1-2+ month contract position with an hourly pay rate ranging from $21 to $23, depending on experience. The role will require the selected candidate to be onsite five days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input data to keep organizational databases and records up to date.
  • Support in drafting, editing, and formatting communications, including emails and correspondence with donors and stakeholders.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the team, including tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.
  • Help organize and maintain both electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Answer incoming calls and handle inquiries, offering exceptional customer service to donors and visitors.
  • Assist in preparing materials for meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure smooth office operations and an efficient workflow.
  • Follow organizational policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring data security at all times.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role or office environment is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain filing systems and records.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
