Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting the Receiver in unloading pallets and stocking wine in the appropriate locations.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Assist in inspecting all incoming trucks in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure(SOP)
•Unload truck and inspect the condition of goods received; count and compare to vendor packlist; accept or reject shipment
•Move product to appropriate stock bin
•Check expiration dates and rotate inventory, as required
•Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
•Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and managers.
•Maintains safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state•regulations
•Wears personal protective Equipment as necessary for the job
•Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstationsneat; maintain clean shipping supply area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
Requirements:Qualifications
•Ability to identify product by size, type, or product code
•Solid reading skills- must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to itemspicked
•Possess basic math and reasoning skills
•Certification of power-truck equipment is a plus•Ability to understand and execute instructions
•Possess general understanding of the warehouse and footprint
Working Conditions
•Ability to move/lift up to 70 lbs. regularly
•Position spends 6 - 8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
•20-35 hours per week
