Talon Logistics Services is hiring CDL A OTR Flatbed Drivers in Louisville, KY. We are a small, family-based company that understands our employees are the key to success. The relationships and partnerships we have built over the past 20 years are the reason we were able to grow from one division with 5 drivers to three divisions with 35 drivers.

Compensation:

• $.80 per mile
• Detention Pay: $24.00/hour
• Per Diem paid on a pre-tax basis

Details:

• Runs start and end in Louisville, so there’s a chance to be home during the week, but not guaranteed
• Subject to all 48 states – east of Texas, Midwest, Northeast, Southeast but nothing consistently
• Off-road locations – not going from plant-to-plant
• Dedicated to one customer – Caldwell Tanks
• Hauling cranes on lowboy trailers – building water towers
• Drivers are responsible for loading / unloading the cranes
• Responsible for flagging and running oversized permitted loads
• Loads are secured using aluminum cable, but drivers will occasionally have to throw chains or straps
• NO TARPING
• Outbound loads are secured by the customer, but the driver still must insure they’re secured properly and to their satisfaction and throughout their transit
• Must have the ability to route and plan trips to deliver to customer on time

Equipment:

• Current trucks are 2023/2024 Freightliner Cascadia’s
• 13 speed manual transmission
• 70 mph road speed
• Carrier APU units, Refrigerator, Microwave, Firestick TV, Printers
• Outward facing dashcams
• Geotab / Trip Reports are used for mileage / driver’s notes
