Responsible for analyzing TAPCO's business processes to develop functional and detailed designs for the TAPSYS system.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

• Collect and analyze end user requirements to develop modifications and updates for TAPSYS.
• Design detailed workflows to determine the procedural steps required to make necessary system updates.
• Build system specifications and test plans to ensure all modifications for the Underwriting system work properly prior to implementation.
• Perform User acceptance testing to ensure the modification or addition meets requirements.
• Act as liaison between system users and the development team to ensure the appropriate message is communicated.
• Create, update and maintain all TAPSYS documentation and instructional manuals in conjunction with the System Analyst Manager.
• Research state and carrier guidelines for system compliance.
• Support developer in resolution of issues related to project specification or programming.
• Train Underwriters on new TAPSYS features or procedures.
• Prepare various daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management or related field or equivalent work experience
• Possess in depth knowledge of TAPCO operating procedures and information technology
• Must knowledge of underwriting process and end user processes
• Excellent analytical skills
• Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work extended hours when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous underwriting experience
