Survey Party Chief - Land Surveying

Title: Survey Party Chief

Location: Eufala, Alabama (36027)

Hourly Pay: $25 - $30 (PLUS Bonus & Benefits)

Schedule - Monday - Thursday!!!

We provide professional and reliable engineering, surveying & environmental services. With multiple offices in the South East - We are growing as a whole and are looking to add a Survey Party Chief to our team in our Eufala, AL office. 

What You Will Be Doing 

• Conduct daily fieldwork in and around Eufaula, AL, Monday through Thursday.
• Locate and re-establish property corners using old subdivision plats and physical evidence (e.g., iron pins).
• Perform boundary surveys, lot splits, and property line reconstructions - often with limited or outdated documentation.
• Interpret historical survey records and piece together fragmented data to produce accurate results.
• Lead small field crews and ensure all necessary data is collected on-site.
• Work independently and think critically in the field without relying solely on GPS or theoretical methods.
• Communicate findings clearly to office staff and clients, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
• Manage multiple active jobs with efficiency and attention to detail.

What You Need For This Job

• 3+ years of hands-on surveying experience, ideally in boundary and property line work.
• Strong familiarity with "old world" surveying methods - not just GPS or academic theory.
• Ability to read and interpret subdivision plats, legal descriptions, and historical survey data.
• Proven experience locating physical evidence (e.g., irons, monuments) and reconstructing property lines.
• Self-motivation and problem-solving skills - you won't be micromanaged.
• Reliable transportation to Eufaula daily.
