We are looking for a skilled Staff/ Sr Accountant to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic, faith-based organization in Palmetto, Florida. This Contract position offers the opportunity to support crucial accounting processes, including month-end close and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in general accounting and consolidations, along with proficiency in tools such as QuickBooks and Coupa. Responsibilities:

• Manage journal entries and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.

• Oversee month-end closing activities and prepare detailed financial reports.

• Collaborate on corporate tax planning and preparation, including handling sales tax and corporate tax returns.

• Assist in streamlining payroll processes and improving financial systems.

• Utilize QuickBooks and Coupa to maintain efficient accounting operations.

• Contribute to purchasing processes and provide insights on financial impact.

• Support system implementations and ensure seamless integration with existing tools.

• Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend effective solutions.

• Provide support for audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations.

• Proven experience in general accounting, including journal entries and ledger management.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Coupa for accounting functions.
• Knowledge of corporate and sales tax processes.
• Familiarity with corporate tax return preparation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience with system implementations or Microsoft Business Central is preferred.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.
