Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.

A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a K-12 educational setting. This role is based in Martinsville, VA, and offers a full academic school year assignment supporting students' speech and language development under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
• Provide direct support during speech-language therapy sessions
• Collect and document data on student progress and performance
• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other educational professionals to support student needs
• Help prepare instructional materials and resources for therapy activities
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Experience working with K-12 students in educational or clinical settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow detailed supervision and treatment plans
• Patience and adaptability when working with diverse student populations
• Knowledge of speech and language development stages and disorders
