Job Title: Special Education (SPED) Teacher – Self-Contained
Location: Bensalem, PA 19020
Compensation: Up to $57/hr!

We are seeking a Special Education (SPED) Teacher to lead an 8th-grade self-contained classroom in a supportive and collaborative school environment. Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver high-quality instruction, activities, and assessments aligned with the school curriculum.
Create an integrated instructional program that supports an inclusion-based learning approach.
Assess students' developmental, cognitive, emotional, and social needs, tailoring instruction accordingly.
Conduct academic testing and use the results to determine appropriate student placements within the Special Education program.
Develop, monitor, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) , ensuring compliance with all guidelines.
Provide case management for identified Special Education students, including organizing and overseeing IEP meetings and required documentation.
Implement differentiated instruction, accommodations, and modifications as outlined in each student's IEP.
Complete IEP Progress Reports in alignment with the school’s trimester reporting schedule.
Act as a student advocate, ensuring their academic, emotional, and social needs are met.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to identify at-risk students and develop Response to Intervention (RTI) plans as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification in Special Education (K-12, 7-12).
Experience with International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (preferred but not required).
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Strong research, planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other educational tools.
