Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated *Senior Power Plant Operator* to join the team. This role will be full-time and will be required to work various morning, evening & night shifts. Schedules are made a month in advance.

*Job Responsibilities:*
* As a Power Plant Operator Sr, you will adhere to departmental/governmental safety standards and organizational/departmental personal appearance policies.
* To help achieve our mission, you will repair and maintain powerhouse equipment to minimize interruptions of utilities to the hospital.
* Your ability to maintain proper water quality for boiler water, condensate, water softeners and cooling towers to ensure that water is within proper limits to prevent damage to Power Plant equipment is of vital importance.
* Maintaining the Power Plant building and all equipment in prime condition, which promotes a clean and safe work environment that prevents personal injury and equipment damage, is required.
* Operating a wide variety of Power Plant equipment such as boilers, chilled water air conditioning equipment, pumps, air compressors and diesel-electric generators for the provision of utilities necessary for hospital operations is expected.
* Assuming full responsibility for plant operations during evening and weekend/holiday shifts is essential.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
* *Education: *High School diploma or equivalent and apprentice training as a stationary engineer.
* *Experience*: 2 years of experience as a stationary engineer in a large power plant equipped with high pressure steam boilers, commercial air conditioning equipment and electrical generator systems.

Pay: $32.30 - $52.65 per hour
