Job Description

Overview: Join a dedicated surgical nursing team providing exceptional perioperative care in a well-established regional hospital serving the Southeastern United States. This full-time day shift role involves planning and delivering professional nursing care tailored to surgical patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and identify individualized care requirements.
• Organize, implement, and evaluate patient care plans effectively.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, demonstrating leadership and organizational skills.
• Document patient care accurately and comprehensively.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
• Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Adapt care to meet age-specific physiological, psychosocial, and cultural needs.

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience: No prior experience required; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the relevant regional licensure.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational and leadership abilities.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting during shifts.
• Ability to handle potential exposure to infectious materials safely.
