We are currently recruiting for remote AHIMA or AAPC credentialed IP medical coding specialists with at least 3 years of recent experience in addition to any formal training. Responsibilities: Assign ICD-10-CM; PCS; and/or CPT codes to records of discharged patients; depending on the type of visit. Assign appropriate DRG to IP visits.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum three (3) recent years of IP coding experience.
• Full-time hours 40hrs a week
• Must have 3M Encompass 360 experience
• Highly preferred (not required) experience with Altera Sunrise EHR (previously Allscripts).
• Highly preferred (not required) experience with eValuator for Auditing
• Highly preferred (not required) experience with Iodine for Queries

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a High School Diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three (3) years RECENT FACILITY Inpatient hospital coding.
• Experience with 3M Encompass 360
• Proficient with IP Coding Guidelines.
• Extensive knowledge ICD10PCS/CM coding principles.

Certified coding specialist must have any of the following certifications:

• CPC
• COC
• CIC
• COC-P
• CPC-A
• CCS

SHIFT/HOURS: M-F Flexible

EXPECTED HOURS: 40

SYSTEMS: 3M Encompass 360, Altera Sunrise, Iodine, eValuator
