Job Description

Overview

The Recruiter is responsible for promoting Lewis and Clark Community College to external constituents and assisting prospective students through the enrollment process.

Responsibilities
  • Meet with prospective students and families on and off campus to present information regarding Lewis and Clark programs and services.
  • Serve on the colleges Enrollment Management Committee and participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic enrollment initiatives for traditional and non-traditional students.
  • Recruit prospective students through various methods including use of social media and/or virtual tools in cooperation with Media Services and IT.
  • Submit monthly recruitment activity report to Vice President, Student Affairs & Director, High School Partnership.
  • Provide semester-by-semester analysis to the Director, High School Partnership and Vice President of Student Affairs on ongoing recruitment efforts and steps to enhance future enrollment.
  • Represent Lewis and Clark at community events and district high schools.
  • Work with High School Liaisons, and other community agencies to enroll qualified students.
  • Aid in facilitating the enrollment process for new students including maintaining CRM recruit inquiries.
  • Conduct personalized follow-up with prospective and applied students.
  • Develop and implement project plans to specifically target different markets such as adults, non-traditional, and first-generation students.
  • Work with area employers to recruit individuals through company-sponsored tuition reimbursement programs.
  • Serve as a core team member on Key Direction One.
  • In collaboration with the enrollment center, plan for and coordinate large recruiting or informational events within the college including Discover Days, Summer Fest, High School registration days & Open House events.
  • Communicate necessary residency requirements with current and prospective students.
  • Work with recruitment software to track status of prospective students.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum training and experience
  • Associates degree in education, Counseling, Marketing, or related field; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise and competency in proactive student recruitment and strong advocacy for prospective students throughout every state of the enrollment lifecycle.
  • Prior sales, admissions or recruiting experience.
  • Verbal skills sufficient to produce correspondence, communicate effectively, and perform other duties, including excellent use of English grammar.
  • Strong software skills.
  • Valid drivers license, insurability to drive for the College, and be available to travel. Travel will mainly be local; however, there may be out of state travel necessary.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups of people, including individuals with English as a second language.
  • Excellent problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to easily navigate the internet and social media use.
  • Successful applicants should be outgoing, boast a positive attitude, and promote the benefits of Lewis and Clark to all constituents.
  • Availability to work flexible hours to meet student needs including evening hours and some weekends.
Base pay range

$52,885.00/yr - $71,395.00/yr

Team Members can expect to be paid a salary between these amounts, which includes an excellent benefits package. The salary will be based on a combination of relevant education, training, work experience, and skill competencies.
