Inside Property Claims Adjuster (2-5 Years Experience)
Location: Hybrid - Flemington, NJ

Full-Time

A well-established regional insurance provider is seeking a skilled Inside Property Claims Adjuster to join their dynamic Claims Department. This role involves managing personal and commercial property claims from initial report through resolution, ensuring fair outcomes and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a caseload of property claims, both personal and commercial.
  • Investigate claims, determine coverage, and issue appropriate correspondence.
  • Assess damages and negotiate settlements using industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate reserves and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, adjusters, attorneys, and other third parties.
  • Identify subrogation opportunities and pursue recoveries.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient claims handling.
  • Participate in training and assist with CAT events as needed.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of property claims adjusting experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple claims and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Commercial and Personal Lines coverages.
  • Experience with damage estimate review; Xactimate knowledge is a plus.
  • Understanding of NJ Unfair Claims Settlement Practices Act.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; ImageRight experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to handle liability claims as needed.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's or HS diploma considered with relevant experience.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC, SCLA) are a plus.
