Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

As a Production Operator, you will work on the production floor, primarily standing for over nine hours a day. Initially, you will assist with machine operations, collecting cardboard from the end of a fast-paced machine that produces up to 400 boxes per minute. You will need to work swiftly, inspecting boxes using a tape measure, and lend a hand in various areas. During slower periods, you are expected to stay motivated and find tasks, such as sweeping, to maintain productivity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine operations by collecting and inspecting cardboard boxes.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, grabbing stacks of boxes as they are produced.
• Inspect boxes using a tape measure to ensure quality.
• Maintain productivity by finding additional tasks during slow periods.
• Work in the baler room, collecting excess materials from each station and placing them in the baler.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of experience in production or manufacturing.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure to the 1/8 of an inch.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience running gluer machines is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is for the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm. The facility is not climate-controlled but maintains a comfortable temperature during winter and may get warm during summer due to machinery. The dress code requires steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caledonia, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
