Position Overview
We are seeking a certified, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Phlebotomist to perform specimen collections at various client sites. This is a mobile, part-time position ideal for someone who thrives in a flexible, independent working environment and is passionate about healthcare excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages
- Travel to assigned collection sites located across San Diego County.
- Accurately label, document, and transport specimens according to laboratory protocols.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other safety standards.
- Maintain equipment and inventory of phlebotomy supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and the internal lab team to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Provide timely updates on collections, drop-offs, and any collection issues or delays.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CPT-1 License required.
- At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred; new certified phlebotomists with strong training are encouraged to apply.
- Valid drivers license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working independently in the field and traveling within the region.
