Job Description

Our client, a leading Automotive company, is seeking a Paralegal to join their team. As a Paralegal, you will be part of the legal department supporting various attorneys and legal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Paralegal 1

Location: Warren, MI

Pay Range: $27.91 per hour

What's the Job?

• Prepare correspondence and legal papers such as summonses, complaints, motions, responses, and subpoenas under the supervision of an attorney or a paralegal.
• Review legal journals and assist with legal research.
• Assist new lawyers in preparing documents for submission to the courts.
• Attend legal meetings, such as client interviews, hearings, or depositions, and take notes.
• Organize and maintain law libraries, documents, and case files.

What's Needed?

• Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training required.
• 0-2 years of experience required.
• Basic knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government regulations.
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
