We're a Florida based, leading real estate and construction firm with a large presence in the Southeast US. This position reports directly to our VP, whom you will work closely with on a number of multi-family projects. PE license in the state of Florida is required for this role. If you have PE licensure in GA/ TX, this is highly desired as well. This position has a lot of responsibility, ownership, and the opportunity for growth within our organization.

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic MEP Engineering Manager to join our construction team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to work with professionals in the design, coordination, and project management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing all aspects of MEP design and construction, including the development of innovative and cost-effective designs, project management, and team leadership. Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory in the state of Florida. PE licensure in GA & TX preferred. Must have experience working on multi-family projects!

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development of MEP system designs in-house, ensuring all designs are up to code and meet project specifications.
2. Oversee the coordination and integration of MEP systems into overall project design and construction.
3. Manage a team of MEP engineers and designers, providing guidance, feedback, and training to ensure the team is performing at its best.
4. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure the seamless integration of MEP systems.
5. Develop and implement project schedules and budgets, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
6. Review and approve MEP design drawings and specifications, ensuring they meet quality standards and project requirements.
7. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly and safely.
8. Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration at all stages of a project.
9. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in MEP design and construction, implementing new technologies and practices as appropriate.
10. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in MEP design and project management in the construction industry, specifically for multi-family projects.
3. Proven experience leading the development of MEP system designs in-house.
4. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and industry best practices.
5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project.
9. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
10. Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards.
