VIAVI Solutions is looking for highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Technicians in Santa Rosa. Both Day and Night Shifts are available. Night Shifts come with a qualified shift differential. Hourly pay is commensurate with experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary Job Responsibilities :

• Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. Some operations are in a clean room environment.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Qualifications :

\n
• GED/High School Diploma or equivalent
\n
• 10+ years of relevant experience
\n
• This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the U.S. To be eligible, you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
\n
• Has a clearance or is able to re-certify to work in environments that require a government security clearance.
\n
• Must be shift flexible. Shifts are typically 12 hours and are available between day and night. This is a 24 hour facility that staffs shifts to accommodate.
\n
• Experience operating in an ISO Quality environment.
\n

\n

Mandatory 10+ years experience in one of these three specific jobs :

\n
• Experienced Metrologist using spectrophotometers in the UV to IR range
\n
• Assembly Technician with demonstratable under microscope soldering skills
\n
• Experienced High Vacuum coating technician with clean room environment experience.
\n
