Job Description
We are seeking a Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations to join our clients Development and External Affairs team. This person will work collaboratively with Board members, executive leadership, program, and finance staff to build internal and external relationships, raise funds, and increase the organization’s visibility. The team includes staff members working in the areas of fundraising, marketing and communications, and volunteer management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5+ years of non-profit experience, including experience with grant writing and corporate partnerships
- Working knowledge in managing budgets and fundraising data preferred
- Experience with donor database software preferred
- Strong people skills; comfort in proactively building relationships with new stakeholders and reaching out to potential supporters
- Strong communications and writing skills and ability to explain the societal issues addressed in different formats to audiences with varying levels of expertise – ie. grant applications, email communications, etc.
- Knowledge of the New York City business and philanthropic communities.
- Proactive, creative thinker with the ability to independently manage several projects simultaneously as well as to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with colleagues, donors, vendors and board members.
- Ability to navigate a large, complex organization with many moving parts and priorities.
- A genuine commitment to DEI in principle and in practice in all aspects of work.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
