Job Description

A dynamic and growing business is seeking a highly experienced Senior In-House Counsel to join its legal team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in real estate and construction law, with a strong focus on commercial leasing and construction financing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial lease agreements, including retail, office, and industrial leases.
• Advising on and managing construction loan transactions, including loan documentation and project financing structures.
• Providing legal support across property acquisitions, disposals, developments, and construction projects.
• Managing legal risk and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborating with external counsel where necessary and coordinating legal input with internal teams.
• Advising senior management and stakeholders on legal strategy and risk mitigation in real estate and construction-related matters.

Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent with 8+ years of post-qualification experience in real estate and construction law.
• Significant in-house or top-tier private practice experience, particularly in leasing and construction finance.
• Strong understanding of development projects, property law, and construction contracting.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
