We are seeking a Temporary HR Assistant to provide administrative support for various Human Resources functions and contribute to the smooth operation of the HR department in Wisconsin Rapids. Production Administrative Assistance (80%) Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR department, including maintaining records, documentation, and other HR tasks. Oversee the plant security card program for new employees and visitors. Verify employees' missing time punches and enter time-off requests into ADP. Ensure accurate comments are logged when changes are made and support progressive discipline procedures. Assist with the hiring process, including temp hour tracking, new hire packets, and conversions. Help maintain departmental records and prepare Status Change Forms for employee transitions, wage changes, and other personnel updates. Support employee recognition programs, including anniversaries, employee of the month, and attendance recognition. Coordinate with the payroll and benefits teams, especially the corporate office based in California. Work closely with temporary employment agencies to source temp-to-hire employees. Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and related inquiries. Contribute to special departmental projects and provide support for other HR duties as needed. 2. Communication (20%) Maintain open, clear, and timely communication with the HR Manager regarding any known or anticipated challenges. Ensure efficient communication within the HR department and across all departments to enhance overall productivity and quality. Act as a proactive team player, maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude. Keep management informed of significant developments and issues identified during routine tasks. Demonstrate professionalism and expertise in the use of office software, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 3. Personal Growth Demonstrate professionalism and respect for confidentiality, handling both business and personal information with discretion. Uphold company values and show commitment to personal and professional development. Support ongoing growth through continuous learning and engagement in new HR practices and technologies. 4. Physical Demands This position requires frequent use of hands for typing, reaching, and talking. Occasional standing, walking, stooping, and lifting (up to 40 pounds) may be required. Specific vision abilities are needed for close, peripheral, and depth vision. Standard workdays are 8 to 10 hours, with flexibility for additional hours based on business needs.
