About the Role
The Head of Model Review & Governance will be responsible for leading the firm-wide model risk oversight function, ensuring robust governance, validation standards, and ongoing control of pricing and valuation models used across the business. This role is responsible for coordinating model review activities with asset-class specialists and key stakeholders in risk and technology, driving consistent testing practices, strong documentation, and clear approval workflows. The position will also maintain and enhance the model inventory and governance framework, lead model validation working groups, and act as a subject matter expert to ensure models are accurate, fit for purpose, and aligned with internal standards and best practices. Applicants should bring extensive experience in model validation, pricing models, or risk management, supported by an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, physics, or a related field. Strong technical understanding of derivatives and complex financial instruments is expected, along with the ability to implement rigorous validation methodologies and communicate findings effectively to both technical and senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will also have strong Python skills, excellent attention to detail, and proven leadership capability to manage governance processes, influence cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced financial environment.
