You will be fully trained by United and no special schooling or college degree is required for this job. Your United journey begins with the best Flight Attendant training in the industry. You will spend 6.5 weeks attending Initial Training in Houston, TX. You will learn United’s safety and service standards. During training you will be assigned a base in one of our hubs: Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, Washington Dulles, or another base location (relocation funds are not provided). After successful training and base orientation, you will be welcomed as a full-time United employee. During training, United provides a stipend of $140 per week, along with dual occupancy hotel accommodations, breakfast, and either lunch or dinner depending on your training schedule. Starting hourly flight pay: $28.88/hour with a top of base scale at $67.11/hour. Onboarding and Training: You will undergo onboarding and training as described above. Training includes evacuation drills, pre-employment checks, and DOT/FAA compliance requirements. Some checks include background checks, fingerprinting, and drug screening. A safety-sensitive role requires meeting medical and vision/hearing standards.
