MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in Drupal development or Drupal technical leadership.
Experience working with the Georgia College & State University (GCSU)
Experience working with education and higher-education institutions, including managing large-scale university website projects and leading both internal (intranet) and external (public-facing) website development initiatives.
Certifications (Required / Highly Preferred):
o Acquia Certified Developer Drupal 10 (or equivalent Drupal certification).
o Additional Agile or web technology certifications preferred.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Strong hands-on experience with Drupal 8, 9, or 10, including custom development, configuration, theming, and module implementation.
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
Proficiency in PHP, relational databases, and front-end technologies commonly used in Drupal environments.
Experience with Drupal site building, content modeling, and supporting structured content needs.
Ability to collaborate with UX, content, QA, and development teams throughout project phases.
Experience participating in requirements analysis, technical planning, and recommending Drupal best practices.
Experience supporting site updates, deployments, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and standard development workflows.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience supporting public-sector, higher education, or research-focused websites.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and developing accessible components.
Experience integrating Drupal with third-party APIs or services.
Familiarity with multisite environments, content governance, and scalable Drupal architectures.
Understanding of performance optimization and security best practices.
Ability to mentor junior developers and support team knowledge-sharing.
