Job Description

Design Engineer – Marine Interiors

📍 Miami, FL | 🛥️ Full-Time | 🎯 On-site

Come design the future of luxury on the water.

Miami Prestige Interiors is the largest high-end and technologically advanced boat interiors company in the U.S. With nearly 50 years of craftsmanship and innovation, we create custom marine upholstery for top-tier boat manufacturers and owners across the country. From concept to creation, we blend design, function, and cutting-edge materials into products that define premium boating experiences.

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Design Engineer who thrives on bringing ideas to life. If you’re passionate about product design, prototyping, problem-solving, and seeing your work on the water, this is your opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

🛠️ What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with some of the most respected boat manufacturers in the U.S.
  • Take precise measurements onboard vessels, solve fitment challenges, and ensure seamless installation.
  • Own design projects from concept to delivery—coordinate timelines, define scope, and drive progress using project management tools.
  • Design components, assemblies, and layouts in 2D/3D CAD (Fusion 360, Rhino, or similar).
  • Work closely with Production and Customer Service teams to troubleshoot issues and streamline manufacturing.
  • Prototype new ideas and document clear, step-by-step manufacturing instructions.
What We're Looking For
  • Creative thinker who can problem-solve in 3D space and visualize both form and function.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in building quality.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; you’ll work directly with clients, engineers, and technicians.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Familiarity with CAD, hand sketching, and hands-on prototyping.
  • Willingness to work onsite, visit manufacturing partners, and occasionally get your hands dirty.
📚 Preferred Background
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Architecture, or related field (Associate degree with experience also considered)
  • 2+ years of experience in product design and CAD
  • Experience in manufacturing or marine environments is a plus
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus
🌊 Why Join Us
  • Be part of a company shaping the interiors of America’s most beautiful boats
  • Work on unique, high-end projects—not just another part number
  • Collaborate with a tight-knit, passionate team that values quality, creativity, and innovation
  • See your designs hit the water—literally

Ready to bring your designs to life?

  • Apply now and help us redefine luxury marine interiors.
