Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Data Center Technician to join our team. This role primarily involves troubleshooting downed servers and collaborating with vendors for support cases on systems under warranty. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly resolve critical issues while maintaining a high level of communication with vendors and internal teams.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of server hardware and components, including troubleshooting techniques for processors, memory, storage, and networking.
Proficiency of Linux OS command-line
Experience with data center management and remote server monitoring tools.
Familiarity with system diagnostics and management software (e.g., Dell OpenManage, HP iLO, Lenovo XClarity).
Hands-on experience in hardware repair and part replacement in enterprise server environments.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in a data center, server support, or IT infrastructure role.
Prior experience managing vendor support cases and working with hardware vendors.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and vendors.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to resolve issues quickly.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Ability to work in a data center environment with fluctuating temperatures and noise levels.
