Job Description

Salary: $127,310 - 243,340 per year Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree; OR a minimum of 4 years of related experience can be substituted in place of a degree.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Security Engineering and/or Information Technology, focusing on security, including experience leading enterprise technology projects or initiatives.
  • At least 4 years of experience providing technology solutions during all phases of a solution development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in guiding security strategies, solutions, and initiatives, with a successful track record of driving projects to completion.
  • Proficiency in modern programming/scripting languages and frameworks.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and leading security engineering activities that utilize modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Hands-on success with agile delivery methods and a strong desire to be flexible while providing frequent value.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production issues affecting applications and systems.
  • Familiarity with platform engineering concepts related to security best practices, including infrastructure/policy as code and security vendor integrations.
  • Experience implementing event-driven security architectures, methods, and controls.
  • Knowledge of security architecture, methods, and controls needed to fulfill security, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Awareness of cloud and emerging technologies, such as Public Cloud, Containerization, Security Data Lakes, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that security requirements are met throughout all aspects of solution/application enablement and sustainment lifecycles.
  • Design, develop, code, integrate, and test intricate cross-functional technical solutions with a strong focus on security, often collaborating with Engineers and Architects outside of our team/department.
  • Lead code/design reviews and engineering efficiencies to secure effective operations and precise planning.
  • Assist in resolving complex production issues and troubleshooting end-to-end solutions that span multiple applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with architecture teams to define directions for cross-functional or highly complicated key technologies within security domains.
  • Drive community involvement through active participation in internal and external training outlets, conferences, blog writing, and involvement in professional societies and advisory boards.
  • Utilize Site Reliability Engineering practices within your domain.
  • Ensure risks associated with your domain activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and managed in line with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to support cross-functional efforts across the enterprise.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot highly complex systems, tools, and vendor integrations.
  • Continuously research, analyze, and troubleshoot to identify, resolve, and report on sophisticated security issues.
  • Work together with Security Analysts and IT and Business Partners to refine, secure, and improve security solutions to align with the latest trends and threats.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers while fostering a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth, ensuring the team stays informed of the latest security trends and technologies.
  • Confirm that risks related to business activities are effectively recognized, measured, monitored, and controlled per risk and compliance policies and procedures.

We're looking for a Cyber Threat Intelligence Senior Engineer for our Cyber Threat Fusion & Emulation (CTFE) Team. This position will be instrumental in managing and maintaining our Cyber Threat Intelligence infrastructure and malware analysis capabilities. A successful candidate will possess a strong background in cloud engineering, systems administration, and Python programming, along with expertise in cybersecurity and cyber threat intelligence. This position requires a collaborative, self-driven individual with an eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

We offer a flexible work arrangement where employees are expected to be onsite 4 days a week, with locations available in San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; or Charlotte, NC. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
