Our transportation and logistics client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. As CFO, you will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic financial insight, and guide the company through growth and profitability. You’ll play a critical role in shaping our financial future, managing risk, and ensuring the financial integrity of the company.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and execute financial strategy in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
● Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes.
● Oversee accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and compliance.
● Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
● Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to logistics and transportation operations
● Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
● Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
● Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
● Drive efficiency through financial systems improvements and cost management initiatives.
● Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team to support ongoing growth.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA strongly preferred).
● 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related sector.
● Demonstrated experience with financial strategy, budgeting, capital planning, and risk management.
● Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
● Proven experience in scaling operations and managing financial functions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
● Background in private equity or venture-backed companies.
● Experience working in asset-light logistics or last-mile delivery models.
● Familiarity with financial software systems and data analytics tools.
