Position Summary This position assembles generator sets and sub‑assemblies that include both standard and non‑standard product lines. The role requires use of hand and power tools and adherence to quality and procedural techniques. Job Description Title: Assembler 1 – Line 1 Assembly of generator sets and sub‑assemblies on Line 1 HPR Units. The responsibilities include interpreting mechanical instructions, drawings, schematics and using appropriate equipment. Cross‑training in multiple assembly and mechanical areas is expected, and employees may be called upon to assist in other areas as needed. Key Accountabilities Read, interpret, and implement mechanical instructions, drawings, schematics and equipment used to perform mechanical assembly duties on Line 1 HPR Units Cross train in multiple assembly and mechanical areas and help in other areas based on necessity. Develop and maintain an understanding of the products assembled and continuous learning of the principles, practices and processes of their job as changes require. Recognize obvious defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship and general quality. Responsible for following safety and environmental procedures and established processes and policies. Provide input on continuous improvement opportunities within the department. Promote a compliance culture in the area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct. Perform special projects as required. Basic Requirements Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. 3 years of mechanical knowledge and use of hand tools and equipment. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Basic ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Basic ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment. Ability to deliver results in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrates proficiency in both oral and written communication as well as communicate in a team environment.
