Job Order 2025 – Ambulatory Surgery Coder (Contract-to-Hire, Remote)

Schedule & Hours:

• Start between 7–9 AM EST (must cover core hours 10–2 EST).
• Set schedule required.

Responsibilities:

• Ambulatory Surgery coding for Ortho, GI, Ophthalmology, ENT, Pain Management, and Neuro.
• Assign CPTs, ICD-10, HCPCS, and Modifiers (no E/M or Anesthesia).
• Add implant HCPCS codes as needed.
• Work with AI-assisted coding tools (validation vs. straight abstraction).
• Check emails at least 4x/day.
• Meet productivity/accuracy standards (see below).

Requirements:

• AHIMA or AAPC certification (any accepted).

Compensation & Contract:

• Contract-to-hire.
• Pay: $27–33/hr.
• Client provides equipment.
• No state restrictions (open nationwide).

Training:

• Buddy system + coding supervisor guidance (supervisor is new).

Other Details:

• Remote role.
• Background check required (9-panel DS, excluding MJ).
• No vaccine requirement.
• IT access may take up to 2 weeks.
• Start date: ASAP.
