Job Summary: As an Apparel Designer, you will be responsible for the conceptualization, design, and development of apparel collections. Key Responsibilities: Research and analyze fashion trends, consumer behaviors, and market conditions to inform design decisions. Create sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes of apparel designs using CAD software and traditional methods. Collaborate with the product development team to select fabrics, colors, and trims that align with the design vision. Oversee the fitting and sampling process, ensuring that the final product meets quality and design specifications. Present design concepts and collections to internal stakeholders and at trade shows or customer meetings as needed. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in design. Assist in creating technical specifications and production guides for manufacturers. Coordinate with marketing and merchandising teams to ensure alignment of designs with brand strategy and target audience. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field. Proven experience as an apparel designer (4-6 years) within a similar industry. Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs. Strong sketching and illustration abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Excellent understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Skills: Previous experience in apparel, e.g., activewear, luxury fashion, etc. Knowledge of sustainable design practices and materials.
