We are searching for a skilled Accountant in Grand Rapids, MI, to play a vital role in our financial operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct general ledger account reconciliations and investigations.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring efficient processing.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve issues.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies within the accounting department.
Recommended Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, data analysis, pivot tables).
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or actively pursuing.
- Experience in a high-growth or automation-related industry.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with non-finance stakeholders.
